James Mulligan Park is a 3.55-acre neighborhood park located at 3300 28th Street near Palazzo at Park Center. The park is named for James Mulligan, a former Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Commission and community activist. James Mulligan Park features a natural wooded area, a picnic area with picnic tables for community gatherings, and a playground. The playground has relatively new equipment including wooded swings and other play equipment suitable for children of all ages and capabilities. They've also covered the entire area with a rubber mat so that kids don't hurt their elbows and knees. For those who love exploring, there are some cool bamboos in the woods. Just follow one of the little trails and you'll find them.
